Passengers protest over high RTC bus fares in Medak

HYDERABAD: Passengers in Medak's Narsapur mandal staged a protest in front of the RTC bus stand, expressing anger over high bus fares. The protestors accused RTC officials of charging excessive fares under the guise of special buses during the festive season.

According to the passengers, the RTC had designated certain buses as Palle Velugu services but was collecting inflated fares by labelling them as special services. They argued that this practice was unfair, particularly during festival times when people rely on public transport for travel.

The passengers demanded immediate action, stating that RTC should stop exploiting travellers with inflated fares during the holiday period.
