HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on February 13, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's office on Saturday.

The Prime Minister would kick off development activities at Secunderabad Railway Station. He would then attend a public meeting at Parade grounds.

During his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take part in a series of events, including inaugurations and the laying of foundation stones for major projects. He was scheduled to visit Telangana on January 19. However, the visit was cancelled owing to “unavoidable circumstances”.

The inauguration of Vande Bharat Express train and the laying of the foundation stone for the expansion of Secunderabad railway station were cancelled and the itinerary was modified on January 19. On the occasion of Sankranti, the Visakha-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express train was launched virtually on January 15, 2023.

Following the frequent postponements, the Prime Minister's visit to Telangana on February 13 has been finalised. The Prime Minister's Office has released the itinerary for this visit.

This time, the Prime Minister's visit to Telangana would primarily focus on state politics. The BJP leadership, which is angling to capture power in Telangana in whatever way possible in the ensuing elections, has prioritised the state. As part of this, all of the top leaders of the party and administration made plans to visit Telangana.

While Prime Minister Modi's visit dates have already been confirmed, Union Home Minister Amit Shah would also pay a visit to the state shortly thereafter. The BJP intends to visit each constituency and hold gatherings throughout Telangana.
