HYDERABAD: The police have blamed WhatsApp groups for the protest that occurred at the Secunderabad railway station on Friday. Railway ACP Anuradha had been appointed to supervise and investigate the incident.
Officials have called in 10 representatives from the student protesters to discuss the issue. However, the protesters have declined this and in turn asked the officials to come to the railway station.
The investigation revealed that the protest was pre-planned and the news of it spread like wildfire, which gave light to large groups of people entering the city on Thursday night from surrounding districts. This led to the intensifying of the situation.
