As part of their Chalo Raj Bhavan protest, prominent party leaders and members of the TPCC marched to Raj Bhavan, demanding explaining the nexus between the Adani group and the BJP
HYDERABAD: As part of their Chalo Raj Bhavan protest, prominent party leaders and members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) marched to Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, demanding explaining the nexus between the Adani group and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
They demanded the creation of a joint parliamentary committee to investigate into issues such as robbing the nation's wealth and engaging in illegal activity, the decline of Adani shares, and many others.
Tension gripped Khairatabad after police in Hyderabad blocked the Congress rally that had started at the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) office at Gandhi Bhavan and was moving towards Raj Bhavan.
Many senior Congress leaders were detained by Hyderabad police, including Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, senior leader Mallu Ravi, TPCC working president Anjan Kumar Yadav, former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Dansari Anasuya, and leaders of the party's women, youth, and student wings.
During the protest, some of them were taken to Goshamahal police station, while others were sent to Punjagutta police station.
On this occasion, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the country's assets were connected to two people. He said that the country's resources should belong to the people. He claimed that the Congress worked for the people, whereas Modi worked only for two people. The country was in danger, he said.
