Ponguleti disappointed; Congress chooses R Raghuram Reddy; Velichala Rajender to contest from Karimnagar

HYDERABAD:Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is in for a big disappointment as his brother Prasad Reddy who is aspiring for Congress ticket from Khammam Lok Sabha seat was denied opportunity.
Instead, the Congress fielded Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy, son of former Warangal MP and president of Hyderabad Race Club R Surender Reddy. Recently, through a marriage in the family, he became a relative to Ponguleti.
Khammam seat was fiercely contested by Deputy Chief Minister Malli Bhatti Vikramarka’s wife Nandini, Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao’s son Yugandhar too apart from Ponguleti Prasad Reddy.
The Congress nominated Velidhala Rajender Rao disappointing former MLA Praveen Reddy. Manu Congress aspirants filed their papers too for Karimnagar seat. The party nominated Sameer Wallullah from Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat.
Ponguleti is now a disappointed man.
