HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Transport Puvvada Ajay met Tollywood actor and 'Young Tiger' Junior NTR in Hyderabad and invited him for the unveiling of the late Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and legendary actor NTR at Lakaaram Lake in Khammam district on May 28.
The 45-foot statue of the actor, which will be in resemblance to Lord Krishna's avatar was built at Rs. 4 crore with funds contributed by the members of Khammam NTR Project Private Limited along with many industrialists, TANA members, and NRIs.
According to officials, the statue at Lakaaram Lake will enhance the tourist attractions at the tank bund built there.
Meanwhile, the arrangements for the auspicious occasion are going on at a brisk pace while NTR fans, and leaders of the fans association in Khammam are waiting for the unveiling of the idol on May 28.
Apart from Junior NTR, retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court NV Ramana, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay, celebrities from the film and political fraternity will be attending the ceremony.
