Raja Singh: Will not join secular parties, will work for establishing Hindu State
Raja Singh added that he was positive that the BJP would lift his suspension and he would contest as an MLA from the party from Goshamahal
HYDERABAD: Ahead of Assembly elections in Telangana, suspended BJP Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh has clarified that he will quit politics if he is not offered a ticket, but would not join secular parties.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, Raja Singh said, "I will not go to secular parties come what may. I will not join the BRS or the Congress parties in any case. My goal is to establish a Hindu State in India. If the BJP does not give me a ticket, I will quit politics and work towards my goal."
Sharing his thoughts on why the BRS has not yet declared its contestant for the polls in Gosahamahal constituency, Raja Singh alledged, "The BRS ticket for Goshamahal is in the hands of the All IndianMajlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). That's why it has been put on hold. The BRS candidate for Goshamahal will be selected from Darussalam."
Raja Singh added that he was positive that the BJP would lift his suspension and he would contest as an MLA from the party.
"The BJP leadership is positive about me. They are looking at the appropriate time to lift my suspension. I will contest once again and contest as an MLA and that too from Goshamahal," he said.
Raja Singh was elected as a BJP candidate from Goshamahal in 2018. However, he was suspended from the BJP in 2021 for making inappropriate remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
