Revanth Reddy attacks Modi on 138th Congress formation day, says country is under threat
The Congress MP also said that the BJP was implementing policies like the Britishers, which hurt the poor and middle-class
HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy, on the 138th Congress formation day event that was held at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for bringing in anti-people policies, unlike the Congress.
Revanth Reddy said that the Congress party, which was formed in 1885, fought for Indian independence and that the present Congress party was also working towards freeing India from the misrule of the BJP.
The TPCC President also recalled former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and said that the duo had brought radical changes in the administration by fighting against the British, even after the death of Mahatma Gandhi. "Rajiv Gandhi worked a lot for the people and for the development of the country, which made the country powerful enough to fight the rule of the British," he said.
The Congress MP also said that the BJP was implementing policies like the Britishers, which hurt the poor and middle-class of the country.
Revanth Reddy also called on the TPCC cadre to the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo Yatra', starting January 26, which aimed at taking Rahul Gandhi's Padayatra's achievements to the public.
