HYDERABAD: Former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has launched a scathing attack against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, questioning his understanding of Siddipet's development and history. Harish Rao on Friday accused Revanth Reddy of spreading falsehoods about Siddipet's progress, highlighting the district's achievement of recognition and distinction at national and state-level awards. The Chief Minister was deliberately blind to the development of Siddipet. He snatched the veterinary college granted by KCR Government to Kodangal.

He emphasised the pivotal role played by Siddipet and its association with the inception of Telangana, suggesting that Revanth Reddy's political trajectory might have been different without Siddipet's contributions.

Harish Rao issued a bold challenge to Revanth Reddy, linking his resignation to the fulfillment of guarantees and Rs. 2 lakh loan waiver within 100 days. He further proposed that if Revanth Reddy failed to fulfil his commitment by August 15, he should resign or apologise by touching his nose on the ground in Kodangal.

The former minister said the real estate sector declined after the Congress took over the reins of the State He expressed concerns about the impact of the Chief Minister's statements on investments and revenue generation in the state.

Harish Rao also commented on the alleged political match-fixing between the Congress and the BJP, highlighting strategic alliances and electoral dynamics observed during recent by-elections in Huzurabad, Dubbaka, and Munugodu.

Harish Rao alleged that there was a secret deal between the BJP and Congress parties. Highlighting the failures of the government, Harish Rao urged the people to vote against the Congress which was conspiring to remove Siddipet as district headquarters. He said that Siddipet was developed in all sectors under the leadership of KCR and opined that the people would teach a befitting lesson to the Congress and the BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that RR tax was being collected in the State in an oblique reference to the Chief Minister, but why was not the ED conducting an inquiry. This exposed the nexus between the two parties. the Congress Government had introduced power cuts in the State and Kalyanalakshmi cheques were stopped.

The two parties were working in tandem by fielding weak candidates opposite strong candidates of both parties so that the BRS could be defeated. The two parties were invoking god and vows on gods digressing from what they would do to the people.

Siddipet had become municipal corporation, andwas upgraded into a police commissionerate and a medical college was set up and many development schemes were launched under KCR regime.
