HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Police has detained Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy while he was on his way to the Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park. On Tuesday, Revanth Reddy was stopped outside the Gun Park by the police as the model code of conduct was in place.

This led to a heated exchange of arguments between Revanth and the police, who then took him into custody.

Couple of days earlier, Revanth had challenged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to take oath at Gun Park that they would seek votes without giving inducements such as money or liquor.
