Revanth Reddy, friend Adani will privatise Singareni, elect BRS to protect Telangana’s interests: KCR
He said that the Congress Government during the past five months failed miserably in protecting the interests of Telangana.
MANCHERIAL: Urging the voters of Peddapalli Lok Sabha Constituency to elect coal miner turned politician Koppula Eswar in the ensuing elections, leader of the opposition and Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) said that only the BRS that has fought for Telangana can save Singareni collieries from privatisation,
KCR said this at a street corner meeting in Mancherial on the tenth day of his ‘Poru Baata Bus Yatra’ on Saturday. “Revanth Reddy shook hands with the Adani in Davos. But I refused to purchase Australian coal when I was Chief Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi forced me to purchase coal from Australia but I refused despite pressure,” KCR said. He said that only the BRS would protect Singareni from privitisation.
He said that the Congress Government during the past five months failed miserably in protecting the interests of Telangana. The Congress Government handed over management of projects on River Krishna to KRMB and didn’t condemn the move of the Prime Minister to divert Godavari water to Tamilnadu, KCR said.
Exuding confidence that the BRS candidate Koppula Eswar would win the Peddapalli seat, KCR said that more BRS MPs in the Parliament would help him to fight for the interests of the State at the national level.
Coming heavily on the Congress Government in the State, KCR said that the free bus service scheme, the only scheme launched by the Congress had led to fist fights among women in the over-crowded buses. He said that the scheme devasted the Autorickshaw drivers and many resorted to suicide, unable to bear financial problems.
Expressing disappointment over the incomplete integrated veg, non-veg market complex in Mancherial, KCR said that the Congress Government did nothing constructive in the past five months. “I took care of villages and urban areas with the help of the Palle and Pattana Pragathi programme. Now the plants planted under Haritha Haram are dying without water, sports grounds were unkept and work on the Chennur lift irrigation scheme has stopped,” KCR observed.
Cautioning the people of Mancherial, Nirmal, and Asifabad that the Congress Government would scrap the three districts and revert them to erstwhile Adilabad, KCR said that only the BRS had the strength to stop that from happening.
Earlier, en route, Mancherial from Kothagudem KCR made a short stop on the Godavari bridge and offered prayers to the river.
