SANGAREDDY: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) called upon the people of the State to launch a state-wide postcard agitation demanding immediate implementation of Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver, Rs 25,000 per acre compensation and Rs 500 bonus per quintal of paddy from Wednesday.

Addressing ‘Praja Ashirvada Sabha’ covering Medak and Zaheerabad Parliamentary Constituencies at Sulthanpur of Andole Constituency in Sangareddy district on Tuesday, KCR said that the Lok Sabha elections should be a wake-up call for the Lilliput Congress Government in the State.

“If you elect these Lilliputs one more time, they will continue with their recklessness. They will think that they can get away from any mischief. On Dr BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary, they locked up the 125-feet statue and don’t even care to offer him a flower garland, this is what happens if you vote for such people,” KCR said.

KCR challenged the Congress Government to also shun the State secretariat named after Dr BR Ambedkar, the Yadadri temple built by the BRS Government, the MLA quarters, and Mission Kakitaya. He recalled that the Congress Government diverted Singur water to Hyderabad while the erstwhile Medak suffered silently.

“We have started work on two lift irrigation projects, Sangameswara and Basaweswasara to give water to Narayankhed and Andole. Now the Congress Government is keeping them in cold storage. They kept Dalit Bandhu under cold storage too,” the former CM observed.

Calling upon the Government employees to teach the Congress a befitting lesson for not implementing PRC and special increment, KCR said that only a shocker in the ensuing elections would wake up the Congress Government.

KCR warns police

Cautioning the police to be impartial while discharging their duties, KCR said that the police were obstructing the BRS cadre from entering the public meeting in Sultanpur. “We are counting your deeds. BRS will return to power then you imagine what we could do. We never behaved like this. DGP should change. Otherwise, people will be taking suitable action. Police arrested Salvaji Madhava Rao a social media activist in Karimnagar, DGP should order an inquiry by an IPS officer, we will take legal action,’ KCR said.

KCR said that surveys predicted that the Congress in the State would win only two seats out of the 17 in the Parliamentary elections. “I give one-year tops for Revanth Reddy. He will join BJP after elections,” KCR said.
