Revanth Reddy promises 4 women Ministers in Telangana Congress cabinet

HYDERABAD: In an attempt to woo women voters, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy has promised to make four women as Ministers if the party comes to power in the State.

Speaking at a rally in Station Ghanpur on Tuesday, Revanth said, "While the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) has only given tickets to six women, Congress has given tickets to 12 women. The BRS only made 2 women as Ministers. The Congress will make 4 of them as Ministers after coming to power."

He alleged that current Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah and BRS MLA nominee Kadiyam Srihari were insulting the Congress woman candidate Singapuram Indira everyday.

"Both worked as Deputy Chief Ministers and lost their jobs after one term. If KCR himself does not have belief in them, how will the people believe in them? KCR has not fulfilled even one of his promises in the last ten years. I will take up the responsibility for establishing a 100-bed hospital and a degree college in Station Ghanpur," said Revanth.

Stating that the unemployed have been neglected by the KCR Government, Revanth said, "He gave top posts to his family.He even made a dud like Errabelli Dayakar Rao a Minister. He is not bothered about sarpanches who are committing suicides as their dues are not being cleared.

"Last month, an unemployed young woman Pravallika committed suicide but this Government disrespected her family in the public. Justice will be done for the unemployed youth only when Congress comes to power. Otherwise 30 lakh unemployed will be left to fend for themselves," he said.

Addressing women voters, Revanth said, "When Congress comes to power, we will provide Rs 2,500 to women every month and provide cooking gas cylinder for only Rs 500. Make Indiramma (Singapuram Indira) win in Station Ghanpur with a majority of 25,000. If Indiramma wins here, Soniamma (Sonia Gandhi) wins there (in New Delhi)."
