Revanth Reddy thanks Gandhis for decision to hold CWC meetings in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy expressed gratitude to several prominent Congress leaders, including AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and top leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, for their decision to hold meetings of the newly formed Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party's highest decision-making body, in Hyderabad on September 16 and 17, 2023.
Revanth Reddy said that choosing Hyderabad as the venue for the CWC meetings on September 17, which was historically very important for Telangana, was proof of the Congress party's respect for Telangana. He added that the decision would fill Telangana Congress leaders and cadre with enthusiasm. He promised that every Congress cadre member and leader would work like a soldier to make these meetings a grand success.
In a related development, Mallikarjun Kharge constituted the Congress election committee. This 16-member selection panel includes former Telangana party president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi among others.
