HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will release a comprehensive roadmap for promoting artificial intelligence (AI) in Telangana at the Global AI Summit 2024, which will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on September 5 and 6.

Hyderabad, one of India’s top investment destinations, is hosting this prestigious summit for the first time, with a focus on the theme "Making AI Work for Everyone." The summit will bring together over 2,000 experts from around the world to discuss AI advancements, future opportunities, and the societal impact of AI technologies.

Notable figures attending include Sal Khan of Khan Academy, Daniela Combe from IBM, and Peter Diamandis of the XPRIZE Foundation. These leaders will share their insights and vision for the future of AI.

The Telangana government has organised this event to attract global attention to its thriving Information Technology and AI sectors. Plans include the development of an AI City on 200 acres within the proposed Fourth City limits of Greater Hyderabad. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to position Hyderabad as a premier destination for IT investments and AI-related services.

During his recent visit to the United States, Revanth Reddy emphasised Telangana's commitment to becoming a leader in AI. The summit will also feature 25 special programs focusing on AI development alongside research presentations, startup demos, and panel discussions involving top leaders in AI technology.

The roadmap, which Revanth Reddy is expected to unveil, will outline the state's vision for AI and further solidify Hyderabad's status as a key player in the global AI landscape.
