Revanth Reddy’s outburst on KCR irks BRS MLAs, protest in Assembly
Chief Minister took objection to the suggestion given by BRS MLA Kadiam Srihari that the Government should immediately take up repairs to the Medigadda Barrage to salvage the Kharif crop in Telangana.
HYDERABAD: BRS legislators protested the derogatory comments of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the Assembly on former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by standing in the well of the house.
Chief Minister took objection to the suggestion given by BRS MLA Kadiam Srihari that the Government should immediately take up repairs to the Medigadda Barrage to salvage the Kharif crop in Telangana.
“You are talking as if we did the damage to Medigadda. Your leader should have come to the Assembly and discussed the issue. Instead, he goes to Nalgonda and abuses me in the filthiest language. You talk about our language and want us to respect KCR. Let's discuss former CM’s Nalgonda language. He bad-mouthed me in Nalgonda,” he said.
Continuing his verbal tirade against the BRS chief, the Chief Minister said that people took off his pants in the recent elections and in the future, they would pull his shirt also,” he said.

At this juncture, the BRS MLAs gathered in the well and started protesting the comments of the CM against their leader who was not present in the house. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar repeatedly requested the BRS members to return to their seats.
However, the CM continued: “KCR was defeated and fell flat and broke his bones. Is this the way to use foul language against a CM elected by the people of Telangana? Is this the Telangana culture?”
Objecting to the suggestion of taking up repairs on Medigadda the CM said that if KCR and the former Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao knew how to repair the damage and fill water in Medigadda they could also do that. “Medigadda sagged, is there a chance to fill the water? KCR and Harish should take responsibility and fille water in Medigadda, then lift it to Annaram and then Sundilla, Revanth Reddy said.
He pointed out that the whole project was wasted and Rs 94,000 crore of taxpayers' money was wasted. “KCR runs away from Assembly and goes to Nalgonda and talks rot about me. If you are ready for a debate on Medigadda call him to Assembly. Till Thursday evening we are ready to take up debate on the issue. He ran away and slept in a farmhouse. Why do we kill a dead snake? People killed him in elections why kill him again?” CM asked the BRS members who continued their protest.
Calling the Nalgonda meeting a street drama by KCR he reiterated the stand of the Government for a debate on Medigadda and the proposed white paper on irrigation
