HYDERABAD: The campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will kick up a notch in Telangana as the ruling Congress, the BRS and the BJP, are all set to organise major events on March 12, 2024 to boost the morale of its leaders and its grassroots-level cadres.

Congress (Parade Grounds)

The Congress Government will hold a parade featuring one lakh women at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Tuesday to showcase 'Mahila Shakti' and celebrate the implementation of schemes such as free bus travel for women, providing gas cylinders for Rs 500, free power supply to households up to 200 units and sanctioning of Indiramma houses.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has invited all women beneficiaries in the State to be part of the event. With the poll code likely to be implemented soon, there is a possibility that other promises made under the 'Mahalaxmi Scheme' like Rs 2,000 to every women could be announced on Tuesday.

BRS (Karimnagar)

The BRS, led by its president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), is all set to sound the poll bugle for the Lok Sabha elections from Karimnagar with a massive public meeting at th SRR College Grounds on March 12. Karimnagar holds a sentimental value for KCR as it was here that he held his first major public meeting after launching the struggle for Telangana Statehood.

The party leaders have been entrusted the responsibility to ensure that atleast a lakh people participate in the meeting. It is from this meeting that KCR would finalise seats for the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP (LB Stadium)

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Hyderabad on March 12 and will hold a series of meetings with grassroots-level cadres. He would first address around 3,000 social media activists on setting the narrative for the party online.

In the afternoon, he will hold a meeting with around 25,000 booth committee workers at the LB Stadium and brief them about the strategies to be adopted in the Parliamentary elections. The meeting will be attended by all the top State leaders of the BJP.
