NEW DELHI: The Rouse Avenue Court deferred hearing on the interim bail petition of jailed BRS MLC K Kavitha to April 4. Kavitha urged interim bail till April 16 to be with her sons during their examinations.

The court decision came after Kavitha’s counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi urged the court time file counter to the ED’s rejoinder. The court allowed the counsel to file the reply by April 3. The court would take up further hearing at 2.30 pm on April 4.

The CBI Special Judge Kaveri Baweja sent Kavitha to judicial custody till April 9 in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy case. The Supreme Court rejected her bail petition on March 22. She was advised to seek remedy from the trial court.
