Rouse Avenue Court dismisses regular bail petitions in ED, CBI cases of BRS MLC K Kavitha

NEW DELHI: CBI Special Judge Justice Kaveri Baweja on Monday dismissed bail petitions of BRS MLC K Kavitha in the corruption and money laundering cases registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) related to the now scrapped liquor policy.

Senior Advocates Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Vikram Chaudhari, Nitesh Rana, Mohit Rao, and Deepak Nagar appeared on behalf of K Kavitha.

While the detailed order copy was awaited, Kavitha sought bail, pleading that she was not involved in the alleged scam and her name was included in a political conspiracy. However, the investigating agencies held her as a kingpin in the excise policy scam
