Samantha urges Konda Surekha to refrain from using her personal life for political purposes

HYDERABAD: Actress Samantha addressed recent comments made by Minister Konda Surekha regarding her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya.

In a social media post, Samantha expressed disappointment over the public scrutiny and urged for respect towards her personal life.

Samantha clarified that her divorce was a mutual decision, arrived at amicably between both parties. She stated that there was no political involvement in the matter and appealed for privacy. She also emphasised that the speculation surrounding her personal decisions was unwarranted and that she had always chosen to keep such matters private.

The actress directly requested Konda Surekha to refrain from using her personal life for political purposes, stressing that her divorce should not be trivialised or used as a tool in political disputes. She pointed out that as a public figure, the Minister’s statements carry weight and should be made with due consideration of their impact on others' lives.

Samantha reiterated that she has always remained non-political and wished to continue living her life outside the sphere of political controversy.
