Sanitation workers protest outside GHMC office despite heavy rain, demand fair wages

HYDERABAD: Braving heavy rain, sanitation workers staged a protest in front of the GHMC headquarters at Tank Bund on Wednesday, demanding their rightful wages.

The workers expressed anger over the reduction in their salaries from Rs 15,000 under the previous government to Rs 9,000 by the current administration.

Sanitation workers demanded immediate payment of their pending wages and the restoration of their Rs 15,000 monthly salary. They warned that if their demands were not met, the protests would intensify in the coming days.
