SI who cut cake in police station at birthday fete of rowdy-sheeter shifted to vacancy reserve

ADILABAD: Sub-inspector of police who had celebrated the birthday of a rowdy sheeter in the police station has been sent to VR (vacancy reserve).

SI Madhav Goud celebrated the birthday of a murder accused and rowdy sheeter Mahender Goud in the police station on March 4 at Mogullapally in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district .

Cake-cutting marked the birthday celebrations. It’s alleged that the SI belonged to the same caste as that of the accused person and this triggered the idea of celebrating the birthday in the police station.

Meanwhile, Bhupalpally DSP A Sampath Rao conducted an inquiry into the incident and the circumstances that led to the cake-cutting marking the birthday of the rowdy sheeter. The DSP issued a charge memo to the SI.

After the probe, the SI was moved to VR.
