HYDERABAD: A six-month-long issue in Arundhati Enclave Colony was resolved within hours following a tweet by BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao.

Residents of the colony had been facing multiple problems, including overgrown trees, lack of drinking water, poor roads, no night security, and frequent robberies. Despite numerous complaints, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi have not addressed these issues.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 6:39 PM, a resident named Sumanth tweeted about these issues, tagging KTR. His tweet highlighted the threat of snakes due to overgrown trees, the absence of drinking water, inadequate roads, and the lack of security, leading to frequent robberies.

In response, KTR tweeted at 6:50 PM, urging the GHMC Commissioner to address the issues immediately. He warned that if no action was taken within 48 hours, he would join local citizens in a "Shrama Danam" program to solve the problems themselves.

By 8:02 PM, the GHMC Commissioner responded, asking Sumanth to share his contact details and location.

By Wednesday morning, municipal authorities began removing the overgrown trees. Many residents shared images on social media, noting that the GHMC, inactive for six months, had taken swift action following KTR's warning.
