Sleepy 7-yr-old girl falls off train in Peddapalli district

PEDDAPALLI: A seven-year-old girl was critically injured after falling off a running train in the Peddapalli district of Telangana on Monday night. The freak accident happened when the little girl went towards the toilet in a sleepy state but mistakenly opened the compartment door and stepped out.

According to information, Mounika and her daughter Lavanya were travelling to Bellampally from Vijayawada to visit a church. In the middle of the night, Lavanya, while going to the toilet, opened the door of the train mistaking it for the toilet door, resulting in her fall from the train.

Passengers, who witnessed the incident, stopped the train near Chikurai and called the 108 ambulance. A police constable named Sarath rushed to the spot and shifted Lavanya to Karimnagar Government Hospital for treatment.
