Sonia Gandhi not taking part in Telangana Formation Day fete

HYDERABAD: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has cancelled her tour of Telangana, where she was scheduled to attend the 10th anniversary celebrations of the state's formation on June 2.

Sonia Gandhi was expected to address the gathering following the official parade at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had personally invited her during a visit to New Delhi. Initially, reports suggested that Sonia Gandhi had excused herself from the event due to health issues. However, Revanth Reddy later confirmed her participation, and her name was included in the official invitations.

On Saturday, it was announced that Sonia Gandhi's tour was cancelled, and she would not be participating in the celebrations.
