HYDERABAD: In a setback for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by BRS leader Jagadish Reddy seeking the transfer of the 'Cash for Vote' case to another state.

In its ruling on Friday, the court stated that the concerns over Chief Minister Revanth Reddy influencing the case were merely speculative and lacked evidence.

The Supreme Court declined to interfere in the ongoing investigation and rejected BRS’s demand for judicial oversight of the case. It also instructed the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) not to report any findings related to the investigation to the Chief Minister. The court also directed Revanth Reddy to avoid any interference in the case.

The bench clarified that if any future interference from the CM is observed, the petitioner can approach the Supreme Court again. With this ruling, the court concluded the hearing and closed the petition.
