JAGTIAL: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has asserted that Telangana Congress leaders were more responsible for cheating the people of the State than Andhra exploiters. He added that, "If Telangana Congress leaders would have been strong then we wouldn't have fought for Separate Statehood for so many years."

KCR, who addressed BRS campaign meetings in Khanapur, Jagtial, and Dubbaka on Sunday, said that Congress leaders were opportunistic and never supported them.

He questioned the public, "Aren't we not eligible for getting drinking water? Congress leaders didn't even fight for bringing drinking water to the State."

At the Khanapur meeting, KCR said that BRS MLA candidate Johnson Nayak was like his son. He added, "Johnson Nayak is not a person who wants to loot people. He owns a company in America. Voting for Johnson means voting for KCR. KTR already said that he will adopt Khanapur after the BRS wins the upcoming polls." He also stated that Khanapur would be developed like never before.

Rao then explained how Telangana was merged into Andhra and his role in the formation of a Separate State. Recalling an instance, KCR said that the then Congress president Satyanarayana Rao challenged him to contest the Karimnagar Lok Sabha bypolls.

"I accepted the challenge and resigned as MP. I again contested in the polls against Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy. I won by a record 2,01,152 votes," said KCR and added that the victory boosted him and gave confidence in winning the hearts of the people of Telangana.

In an emotional appeal to the public, KCR said, "Do I need anything else after the formation of Telangana? I don't need any other post. There is no other Telugu Chief Minister who worked successfully for 10 years. I'm not fighting for power but I want Telangana to achieve 100% literacy rate and want farmers to lead a peaceful life."

The Chief Minister came down heavily on the Congress leaders for their comments on bringing back 'Indiramma Rajyam' to the State and added that no one benefitted during Indira Gandhi's reign in the country.

"No single Government before the BRS ever thought of saving farmers or providing financial assistance to them. BRS is the only party which brought Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, etc., and are helping the farmers," said KCR.

Rao asserted that, "Under the Congress regime, there were curfews every other day and they can't do anything other than saying few words against me.

"The price of lands have been increased only because of the Dharani portal. For three years, our team worked hard and came up with Dharani Portal. There is transparency and farmers are getting their mutations done in just a couple of minutes, land records are safe and registrations are done in an easy manner," KCR said.

In the Dubbaka meeting, the Chief Minister reminded how the BRS candidate Prabhakar Reddy was stabbed and such a situation never happened in Telangana.

KCR didn't take the name of Raghunandan Rao, the current MLA of Dubbak, and said that he won the bypolls after the death of Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy. He also added that "BRS would have won if he would have come for the campaigning during Dubbak bypolls." Slamming the BJP MLA, KCR said that there wasno truth in Government taking away the assigned lands.

Listing out all the welfare programmes that were being implemented in the State, Rao said that the BRS Government was a people-friendly one and would never step back to come up with new schemes that benefit the people.

BRS president told the public that they should think diligently before excersing their vote and added people can't expect development from the leaders who are not in the Government at the State level. Rao expressed confidence that BRS would win with the highest majority in the upcoming polls and warned the people of the danger of how the State would turn into if the Congress was voted to power.
