Telangana Govt: DA for staff, DR for pensioners hiked by 2.7 percent from July ‘21
A government order has been issued hiking the dearness allowance for employees and dearness relief for pensioners
HYDERABAD: Giving good news to the government employees and pensioners, the Telangana Government, on the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has increased the dearness allowance/dearness relief by 2.73 percent. A government order (GO) has been issued hiking the dearness allowance for employees and dearness relief for pensioners from the existing 17.29 percent to 20.02 percent.
Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao tweeted to this effect and said that the latest measure would benefit 4.40 lakh state government employees besides 2.88 lakh pensioners. The rise in DA/DF will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2021.
For pensioners, revised Dearness Relief shall be paid along with the pension of January,
2023, payable in the month of February, 2023. The Dearness Relief arrears from
01.07.2021 to 31.12.2022 shall be paid in eight (08) equated monthly instalments starting from February, 2023, payable in the month of March, 2023.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao announced that the government was delighted to release the dues to the pensioners.
