The survey, initiated on July 23, has visited 1,42,78,723 houses and screened 4,40,06,799 individuals across the state. The rise in fever cases coincides with an increase in seasonal diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, and malaria, particularly during the rainy months of August and September.

Since January 1 this year, Telangana has reported 5,372 dengue cases out of 81,932 samples tested, with a positivity rate of 6.5%. Chikungunya cases were also noted, with 152 cases reported out of 2,673 samples tested, yielding a 5% positivity rate. The high-risk districts for chikungunya include Hyderabad (61 cases) and Mahabubnagar (19).

Malaria cases have been comparatively lower, with 191 cases reported out of 23,19,283 samples tested, reflecting a positivity rate of 0.008%.

To combat these diseases, the state has established 42 T-Hub Labs with adequate testing facilities, 53 blood banks with sufficient blood units, and 108 functional ambulances across all 33 districts. Additionally, medicines and logistics for malaria are readily available throughout the state.
