Telangana forest department unveils new wild animal rescue vehicle

HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Forest department unveiled a new rescue vehicle designed to save endangered wildlife creatures at Aranya Bhavan on Thursday.
Union Bank of India, Secretariat Branch, sponsored the Telangana Forest Department's wild animal rescue vehicle as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Accordingly, the Union Bank of India authorities purchased the Mahindra Bolero Camper Vehicle for Rs.9.50 lakh and handed it over to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) R.M. Dobriyal at Aranya Bhavan on Thursday.
The Telangana State Forest department has a 24-hour Forest and Wildlife Control Cell at Aranya Bhavan, with a toll-free number of 18004255364. The Department takes action on all information received at this Cell concerning wild animal rescues, poaching and illegal wildlife trade, illegal tree felling, and so on. The Forest Department has additionally set up an anti-poaching squad to rescue wild animals.
