HYDERABAD: The first Chief Minister of Telangana and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), decided to hold the Telangana Formation Day for three days to commemorate the completion of a decade of the formation of Telangana state.

In a statement on Monday, he called for a candlelight rally on June 1, 2024, to be held from Gun Park Martyr's Column to Amar Jyoti at Tank Bund at 7 pm. On this occasion, floral tributes would be paid to the martyrs of Telangana State.

On June 2, the Telangana Formation Day the decennial celebrations of the formation of Telangana would be held at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad under the chairmanship of KCR.

On the same day, the party will distribute fruits and sweets at several hospitals and orphanages in Hyderabad.

On June 3, the end of the decade of the formation of Telangana would be celebrated at the BRS party offices in all districts across the state. The party flag and the national flag would be hoisted on the occasion. Sweets and fruits would be distributed.

KCR reiterated that it was the credit of the previous BRS party Government for establishing the first-ever Government in the home state achieving decade-long progress with the support of the people and making Telangana a model State for the country.

The party chief called upon the party rank and file to celebrate the end of the decade grandly on this historic occasion.

KCR asked the party workers from the village to the state level to follow the instructions given by the party and participate in the closing ceremony in a big way and make it a success.
