HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has declared holidays on September 7th and 17th for the Ganesh Chaturthi and Milad-un-Nabi festivals, respectively.

According to the state's general holiday calendar, Ganesh Chaturthi was to be observed on September 7, and Milad-un-Nabi was declared a holiday on September 16.

However, due to the moon's sighting, the date for Milad-un-Nabi has been revised from September 16 to September 17. This adjustment was made in a recent government order.

Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 7, with the Ganesh idol immersion scheduled for September 17. The Milad-un-Nabi procession has already been re-scheduled to September 19.
