HYDERABAD: To enhance the education system, the Telangana Government has adopted a new policy aimed at strengthening all government schools.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the Secretary to the Education Department, Burra Venkatesham, to prepare comprehensive plans to achieve this goal within three years.

The Chief Minister has instructed officials to develop constructive proposals for establishing semi-residential schools alongside integrated residential schools. Additionally, the CM has emphasised the need for the Education Department to draft proposals to provide education up to the 3rd standard in Anganwadi centres, modelled after Play Schools. To ensure that educational facilities are accessible to all students in their native villages, the Chief Minister has suggested finalising a plan to recruit one additional teacher in each Anganwadi centre. Furthermore, plans should be envisaged to establish semi-residential schools offering education up to the 4th standard, with transport facilities provided for students attending these schools.

Officials have been tasked with seeking the opinions of educational experts and preparing plans to implement a pilot project in one or two mandals.

Revanth Reddy has also emphasised the importance of utilising Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, in addition to government allocations, to improve facilities for students in government schools.

The Chief Minister has urged all necessary measures to provide quality education to students, ensuring that the new policy substantially improves the state's education system.
