HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on Saturday that the Telangana government would release an annual job calendar during the upcoming budget session of the Legislative Assembly.

Revanth Reddy stated that the government would compile data on vacancies across all departments before March each year. Subsequently, notifications for these vacancies would be issued by June 2, with the recruitment process targeted for completion by December 9.

This announcement came as the Chief Minister launched the "Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastam" scheme at the Praja Bhavan, an initiative to provide financial assistance to candidates who have cleared the Civil Services preliminary exams.

The Chief Minister commended the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for their contribution. He emphasised that providing financial assistance to candidates preparing for the Civil Services Mains examination was a first in the state's history, calling it a historic decision. He met with 41 candidates at the Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, all of whom successfully cleared the preliminary stage of the Civil Services examination.

Reflecting on the Telangana movement, Revanth Reddy stated that it was fueled by the aspirations of youth seeking employment opportunities. He acknowledged the struggles faced by unemployed youth over the past decade and emphasised that the Congress government had prioritised addressing unemployment. He highlighted that appointment orders for 30,000 positions were issued within the first three months of the government's tenure.

He further explained that the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) had been reformed, aligning it with UPSC standards. He noted that the Group 1 preliminary exams had been conducted, and the DSC examinations were currently underway. Acknowledging the challenges faced by unemployed youth, the government had postponed the Group 2 examination.

The Chief Minister emphasised that resolving unemployment was a top priority for his government, and it was committed to conducting examinations efficiently and transparently.
