ASIFABAD: The Telangana Government will withdraw all cases against tribals, declared Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday after distributing 'Podu' land documents to beneficiaries at Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district.

After officially distributing Podu pattas, Chief Minister KCR addressed the gathering at the newly inaugurated Integrated District Offices Complex, saying, "Telangana government will withdraw all cases imposed on tribals as there is no point in filing cases on them after officially distributing Podu Pattas. I will also request the DGP to make sure that they revoke all of these cases."

KCR said that the government distributed podu pattas to all the women farmers today. It gave cheques to the collector for Rythu Bandhu for all farmers. As many as 4,06,369 acres of forest land was being allocated to 1,51,146 lakh tribals.

He asked the authorities concerned to provide three-phase electricity to all ST farmers across the state. Motor pumps were supplied to Dalit farmers as part of the Giri Vikas scheme, which was extremely useful to them and farmers who were tilling their farms efficiently. He urged that all farmers to be provided with motorpumps for hassle-free farming.

The Chief Minister also formally inaugurated the Integrated District Offices Complex (IDOC), the BRS party office, the District Police Office, and a children's park, besides laying the foundation stone for a Government Medical College in Asifabad.

He lauded the district collector and R&B team for building a beautiful District collectorate complex, DPO and medical college. Asifabad district would shortly get a medical college, and studies would also be admitted. All of the structures in this district are a dream come true for Asifabad residents, he said.

"We fought a lot and worked hard to get Telangana,” the Chief Minister said, “which is why our state is performing far better than many other states in the country. Telangana is doing very well in terms of improved medical services and adequate drinking water, which are the result of the hard work of all Telangana officers and citizens."

He said, there were days when people suffered severely due to a lack of electricity. When Vijayabhaskara Reddy was the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, he didn't have electricity at his home for one and a half day, and a generator was called straight away. However, Telangana was the only state that could give 24 hour electricity to everyone. These results would not have occurred without tremendous effort.
