Telangana IPS Association condemns MLA Raghunandan Rao’s remarks on DGP Anjani Kumar

HYDERABAD: The Telangana IPS Association condemned MLA Raghunandan Rao's irresponsible and highly derogatory remark against DGP Anjani Kumar on April 5, 2023, in reference to Karimnagar Police's preventive arrest of BJP President Bandi Sanjay.

The association condemned irresponsible remark from a lawmaker, as well as the use of unparliamentary language against a senior government functionary, as being extremely unseemly and unhealthy in a democratic setting.

Such disparaging remarks were extremely demoralising for Telangana's entire police force, which works around the clock to ensure public safety and security, as well as the maintenance of law and order in the state, according to the association.
