Telangana is best way for companies to enter India: KTR at World Economic Forum

DAVOS: Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao, at Davos, said that Telangana is the best way for investors and companies to enter or expand in India. The Minister is attending the World Economic Forum 2023 at Davos where he said that the Telangana would not only be a place for investment, but it would be a partnership with the Government, where both the entities work and grow together.
"If India performed like Telangana, in terms of economy and development, we would have been a $4.6 trillion economy by now," KTR said.
KTR said that it was easy for the investors to infuse capital. However, the government processes were difficult. He said that the Telangana government strives to facilitate an easy investment and growth to the investors. "The only way to get investments is by getting off the high horse and communicating with the investors," KTR said.
KTR also said, "Though we work under the Central Government, the main power, the land, the water, the resources, lie with the State Government. Hence, it is important to focus on economy."
The IT Minister said that Indians believed in magic and not logic and said that this was the reason why the economy in the country was taking a backseat and perineal politics exist.
KTR also said that Telangana was growing in every sector, from the IT sector to the life sciences sector through Genome valley. He also said that a new Mobility Valley would also be set up. The Minister said that the Telangana Government was focused on sustainable development in every sector.
