HYDERABAD: Religious places of three brothers in one place is a true symbol of love and brotherhood that everyone should emulate, said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) at the inauguration of the Mosque built in the Telangana Secretariat premises in Hyderabad on Friday.
Speaking at the function, KCR said, "India should learn from this example. I pray for peace and progress of Telangana from this holy place,”
The Chief Minister along with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, graced the occasion. The Masjid was built in Nijam era architectural form in a total area of 1,500 square yards of area.
Earlier, the Chief Minister received the Governor at the ‘Nalla Pochamma’ Temple and offered prayers to the deity. He also offered silk robes to the deity on behalf of the Government. Chief Secretary Santi Kumari and Roads and Buildings Minister Prashanth Reddy accompanied the Chief Minister and Governor.
Riding on a buggy from the temple to reach the Telangana Employees Church, the Chief Minister and Governor inaugurated the Church built on a total area of 500 square yards. The Governor cut the cake and offered it to the Church's Chief Minister and the Bishop. A religious prayer was conducted blessing the State, the Chief Minister, and the Governor.
All three religious places were reconstructed after the State Government took a decision to construct a new Secretariat Complex on the premises of the old Secretariat complex at a cost of Rs. 617 crore. These places were constructed to provide a place of worship for employees and visitors belonging to the three major religions
