HYDERABAD: The total number of voters in the State of Telangana as per the draft electoral rolls published by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Monday was 3.06 crore out of which 4.76lakh voters are in the age group of 18-19 years.
While Serilingampalli and Qutubullapur segments have highest voters of 6.62 lakh and 6.39 lakh, Bhadrachalam and Aswaraopet have the lowest number of voters with 1.44 lakh and 1.5 lakh voters.
Of these, 1.53 crore are male voters, 1.52 crore are female voters and 2,133 voters belong to the third gender. In all 8,31,520 additions were made and 1,82,183 voters are deleted from the list taking the total number of voters to 3.06 crore. There are also 2,742 NRI voters and 15,337 service electors on the voters list.
Polling will be conducted in 35,356 polling stations for 119 constituencies. The CEO Vikas Raj informed that claims or objections on the voters lists could be filed from 21 August to 19 September.
