TPCC crisis: Digvijaya Singh warns leaders against public sparring
He advised the TPCC leaders to bring any grievances or allegations to the party leadership directly
HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha Member Digvijaya Singh, who was in Hyderabad to defuse the TPCC crisis on Friday advised the party leaders and activists against discussing the conflict in public.
While speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Digvijaya Singh warned all of them that no leader should speak openly again. Those who openly discuss the crisis would then face consequences, he added.
He advised the TPCC leaders to bring any grievances or allegations to the party leadership directly. He made it clear that the party valued all opinions. He urged all party leaders to work collaboratively.
Digvijaya Singh also proposed that there be no distinction between senior and juniors members of the party. He believes that the party would only regain power if everyone worked together.
The party's interests are more important than the leaders. There was strong opposition to both the Telangana and BJP governments. So, rather than fighting each other, Digvijaya Singh advised, to fight for public issues.
On the demand for replacement of TPCC chief and Congress party Telangana's in charge, Digvijaya Singh said it was a matter beyond his authority.
Digvijaya Singh said that the Centre was trying to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra due to its popularity, while congratulating TPCC leaders for making the Yatra a huge success in Telangana.
"The Centre has not yet declared a medical emergency but they are attempting to halt the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Why were international flights from COVID19 affected countries not cancelled", Digvijay Singh questioned.
