Traffic restrictions in Hyderabad for Milad-un-Nabi processions today
Traffic will be diverted in several parts of Hyderabad from 8 AM to 8 PM due to Milad-un-Nabi processions.
HYDERABAD: Several processions will take place across Hyderabad to mark Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on Thursday.
In view of the processions, the Hyderabad City Police have imposed traffic restrictions from 8 AM to 8 PM. The main routes affected include areas from Falaknuma to Volta Hotel, Yahya Pasha Dargah to Volta Hotel, Mecca Masjid to Haj House, and Pathergatti to Alijah Kotla.
The primary procession will begin at Syed Qadri Chaman in Falaknuma, passing through key points such as Aliyabad X Roads, Lal Darwaza X Roads, Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Madina, Nayapul Bridge, Salar Jung Museum, and Purani Haveli. It will conclude at Bibi Bazaar and Etabar Chowk. Due to these routes, traffic will be diverted via Mahbubnagar X Road, Kandikal Gate, Pisal Banda, and Kurnool Road, with additional diversions through Shamsheer Ganj and Nagul Chinta.
The central Milad procession, organised by the Milad Committee, is scheduled to start after noon prayers from Mecca Masjid. It will cover Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Nayapul, Salar Jung Museum, and other landmarks before concluding at the Volta Hotel.
