Transco, Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao, Government adviser Ramana Chary resign from their posts
TPCC chief Revant Reddy criticised Prabhakar Rao for the power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh Government and the sub-critical technology used in Bhadradri thermal power plant
HYDERABAD: Following the change of guard at the State Government Transco Genco chairman and managing director D Prabhakar Rao has tendered his resignation on Monday. He handed over the charge to the Director (Civil) of TSGENCO to look after the affairs of the transmission and generation companies till the new Government makes alternative arrangements.
It might be recalled that the TPCC chief Revanth Reddy criticised Prabhakar Rao for the power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh Government and the sub-critical technology used in the construction of the Bhadradri thermal power plant.
Meanwhile retired IAS officer and adviser to the K Chandrashekhar Rao Government, KV Ramana Chary also submitted his papers following the defeat of the BRS Government. A native of Karimnagar district in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, he was also the TTD EO. He took VRS in 2012. He joined Telangana Rashtra Samithi in 2014.
