HYDERABAD: The candidates who appeared for the Telangana State Gurukula teacher recruitment examinations have protested in front of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s residence on Thursday morning and appealed to him seeking resolution and justice on specific challenges.

In the letter, the candidates highlighted the technical problems with the online application process, resulting in delays and difficulties in exam centre selection and certificate verification and requested clear appointments to avoid confusion.

The aspirants also raised concerns over the appointments not being made in descending order of positions, leading to some individuals receiving multiple job offers while others were left with no option. They were requesting appointments to be made in descending order.

The candidates noted that the relinquishment policy, where candidates gave up smaller posts for higher ones, was not being followed consistently. They were advocating for the reinstatement of this policy to prevent backlogs and demanded the announcement of a second merit list for certificate verification to address the issue of candidates relinquishing positions.

The applicants also requested the declaration of subject-wise general ranking list (GRL) for all job notifications to provide clarity and transparency in the recruitment process.

The candidates raised concerns about mistakes in recruitment, including the selection of non-local candidates over local candidates in some instances. They sought explanations from the TREIRB Board regarding these discrepancies and urged for fair and transparent recruitment processes and appointments to address the challenges they encountered.
