HYDERABAD: Twelve people have been arrested and 19 witnesses have been questioned as of date in the TSPSC paper leak investigation, according to a Special Investigation Team(SIT) remand report.

According to the remand report, nine the accused were initially arrested in the case, and three more, Shameem, Suresh, and Ramesh, were apprehended on Thursday. Two of the three accused yesterday were TSPSC employees, reads the remand report.

The SIT mentioned TSPSC employee Shankar Lakshmi as the main witness in the investigation, while the SIT issued notices to 42 other people in the case.

The owner and staff of a hotel in Karman Ghat were also listed as witnesses because a paper exchange was captured on the hotel's CCTV camera, the report said.

According to the report, Shameem, Ramesh, and Suresh were apprehended based on information provided by the two main accused, Praveen Kumar and Rajasekhar Reddy. A laptop and three mobile phones were recovered from the three accused, report said.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed a week ago by Hyderabad police to investigate the leak of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper.
