TSPSC question paper leak scandal: SIT may record statements of board members
The SIT is likely to elicit information from the board members on the recruitments of outsourced staff which came under a cloud in the wake of the question paper leakage scandal
HYDERABAD: In a sensational twist to the TSPSC question paper leak scandal, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case reportedly served notices on Friday on the board members for questioning.
The SIT is likely to elicit information from the board members on the recruitments of outsourced staff which came under a cloud in the wake of the question paper leakage scandal. According to sources, the probe team is expected to record the statements of the seven board members of the TSPSC. It is not clear when the statements of the board members will be recorded as the SIT is yet to make an official announcement on this.
The SIT, which has stepped up its investigation in the case, has taken three of the arrested accused, Shameem, Suresh and Ramesh, into its custody. With the permission of the Nampally court, the probe team will be grilling the three over the next five days. Two of these three accused are employees of the TSPSC and the SIT is forging ahead to see if any other employees of the commission are also involved in the question paper leakage scam. Earlier, the SIT had quizzed prime accused Praveen, Rajasekhar Reddy, Dakya Naik and Rajeswar for three days before they were sent to judicial remand at the end of their custody.
So far, 15 persons have been arrested in connection with the scandal even as several others were served notices for questioning, thus raising the prospects of more arrests in the case.
