TSRTC Bill: Eetla alleges BRS Govt misleading TSRTC employees, wrong to blame Governor
Etela Rajender lashed out at the BRS Government for misleading the TSRTC employees over the TSRTC Bill, 2023 and provoking them to protest before the Raj Bhavan
HYDERABAD: BJP Huzarabad MLA Etela Rajender lashed out at the BRS Government for misleading the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees over the TSRTC (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill, 2023 and provoking them to protest before the Raj Bhavan.
Addressing the media on Saturday, Rajender said that the BJP was not against the Bill and condemned the "false propaganda" of the BRS Government. “How can the Bill be approved by Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundarrajan when it is sent just a day before the commencement of Assembly sessions,” Rajender said.
The BRS Government was unnecessarily creating a ruckus over the Bill and provoking the RTC employees to protest before Raj Bhavan while the Governor was away from Hyderabad. The Governor should be given some time to go through the Bill before approving it, Rajender said.
“We are welcoming the Bill. Currently, over 6,000 buses owned by the TSRTC are being operated by the Corporation. The BRS Government has failed to provide two PRCs for the RTC employees. Instead of misleading the RTC employees, the Government should regularise the services of all the staff working the TSRTC,” he demanded.
Rajender also took a dig at the BRS Government for turning a blind eye towards the woes of guest lecturers, second ANMs, outsourced employees, women's associations and others. The ministers and officials concerned were not in a position to discuss the problems worsening the situation further. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself is unavailable to the public. The ongoing Assembly sessions are going in a routine manner ignoring the discussions on people’s problems,” he said.
