TSSPDCL CGM attributes political motives to complaints of power cuts, Netizens slam his reactions
Power consumers ask ECI to take action against TSSPDCL CGM's rude and derogatory reactions.
HYDERABAD: Several parts of Hyderabad faced several unscheduled power cuts last week. When angry consumers raised complaints through the social media platform 'X' (former Twitter), they received shocking replies from the boss of TSSPDCL. He described their complaints as "fake" and even attributed political motives behind them.
The replies were given from the user account "@sivaji1979", and in his bio, he claims to be the Chief General Manager at TSSPDCL, Telangana.
On April 13 at midnight, a consumer, Saye Sekhar Angara, complained, "It didn't even rain yet. Not even drizzled, and the power supply had gone in Telecom Colony, Shiva Nagar Kanajiguda. This is not in my house alone, so there is no point in sharing the USC number. @TSSPDCLCorporat, how many years do we take to improve our efficiencies?"
Reacting to this complaint, he gave a shocking reply: "If you are not giving your UNSO means, your account itself will be considered fake. Mind that it is the gale/wind that causes damage to power lines. If you are patient enough, look at TV to observe Dubai."
Replying to another complaint, he wrote: "The sanctity of your tweet is doubted because you have given a political statement instead of giving information to the department for getting the problem solved."
When user Reshma (@Tweet2Reshma) complained of a power cut in P&T Colony, Sun City, and Bandlaguda Jagir, he replied rudely, "Reshma gaaru. Please use the keyboard with some facts."
When BRS leader P Karthik Reddy re-tweeted a post on his account @KarthikIndrAnna regarding the power failure in Shankarpally Mandal of Rangareddy district and asked the corporation to do its job and not tweet counters, the TSSPDCL official replied: "You work for any party, we don't mind. But do mind that you're spitting on the sky. This shows that you have political motives. It seems you are working for BRS."
These politically motivated replies from a user who claims to be the Chief General Manager have angered the consumers, and now he is being trolled by netizens.
Fearing backlash, he deleted some of the Tweets which could bring him trouble. However, the users acted in a smart and took screens shorts of those and shared them in their accounts.
A user, Samrat (@teiangana) demanded, "The Chief General Manager of TSSPDCL, A Government entity whose salary is funded by the taxpayers, making derogatory remarks towards those who raised concerns about power outages, also giving politically induced statements. How on earth this is allowed..infact a gross violation, We demand to take action on that person." He also tagged the Election Commission of India seeking action.
