Two dead, 50 fall ill after drinking contaminated water in Sangareddy district
Contaminated water in a village in Sangareddy district led to two deaths and 50 people falling seriously ill.
SANGAREDDY: Two people died and around 50 others fell seriously ill after consuming contaminated water in Sanjeevraopet, Narayankhed mandal of Sangareddy district.
Residents of the BC Colony in the village were forced to drink water from a well due to the unavailability of water from the Mission Bhagiratha scheme. The contaminated water led to severe health issues, with two people succumbing to the illness and three others reported to be in critical condition. One of the critically affected individuals has been shifted to Sangareddy Hospital, while two others are receiving treatment at the Narayankhed government hospital.
The incident has caused widespread concern among the affected families and the local community. Authorities are yet to release further details as investigations continue into the cause of the contamination.
