Two students from Telangana drown in lake in US

HYDERABAD: Two Telangana students drowned on Sunday in the Lake of Ozarks in the United States of America (USA). The incident occurred at around 2:30pm on Sunday.

According to reports, the deceased were identified as Uttej and Shivadatta, who were pursuing their MS at St Louis University in Missouri, USA. Uttej hailed from Hanamkonda, while Shiva was from Nizambad.

Reportedly, the duo went swimming along with their friends over the Thanksgiving weekend. The bodies of Uttej and Shiva were recovered from Lake of the Ozarks by the Missouri State Highway Patrol's water division.

Telangana minister KT Rama Rao on Monday tweeted that his office was helping the relatives of the deceased get their mortal remains back to India as quickly as possible.
