Two youths drown in Taliperu River during festival in Bhadradri Kothagudem

KOTHAGUDEM: A tragic incident unfolded during the festival celebrations in Bhadradri Kothagudem district when two youths drowned in the Taliperu River. The accident took place in Tegada village, Charla Mandal, on a festive day.

According to reports, the two victims were from Gannavaram village in the same mandal. They had gone to bathe in the Taliperu River when they accidentally drowned.

Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene and retrieved the bodies. The bodies were then sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

The untimely deaths of the two youths have cast a shadow of grief over the village, dampening the festival mood. Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
